Ever look at yourself ten years ago and say, my, was that really me? Did I do this, did I say this, or
was this the space I was in? Really? What in the heck was I thinking? Experiences from what I've learned, gave me an opportunity to grow. I noticed myself, after experiencing something , having a totally different view of it than before. For example, I was raised with the notion that all dogs should stay outside. Until I experienced having a dog inside, I never knew how much of a family member, they really are. I didn't know there was a big ol country part of New York until I experienced it and lived there. I thought it was all big city and lights. I didn't realize there are so many more areas like the beaches, and rural areas there. Shout out to Long Island..:)
There are so many things I look at within myself now and say I am a sponge continuing to absorb and grow from the moment. I see some things totally different now than I did ten years ago. I use to think I had all the answers. Each day we are faced with opportunities to grow. Each experience may be different but the opportunity is the same. I've realized the growth in my life, and I'm grateful. Whether the lesson comes through a break up, a make up, or a shake up, we all can still learn something valuable from it and go on to become stronger and better at being uniquely who we are suppose to be.
